Job Title: DevOps Engineer - Cloud Specialist

Kardex North America is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer - Cloud Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient cloud infrastructure solutions to support our growing business needs.

Estimated Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

About the Role:

  • Design, implement, and manage automated continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines targeting Azure as well as on-premise environments to support fast, reliable releases.
  • Build and manage infrastructure ideally in Azure using a declarative framework such as Bicep Files, or in a comparable manner using tools like Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or other IaC frameworks to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud environments.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to architect, deploy, and manage scalable applications.
  • Automate manual processes and manage system configurations, software installations, and patches across environments.
  • Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure high availability and performance of systems.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, QA teams, and IT administrators to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure the system adheres to security standards, including encryption, access control, and vulnerability management.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot system incidents, outages, and performance issues. Provide on-call support as needed.
  • Continuously evaluate and optimize infrastructure, applications, and pipelines for efficiency, cost, and scalability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience (4+ years) in DevOps or similar role.
  • Strong IT experience.
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Bamboo.
  • Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
  • Understanding of networking, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
