Our client, a reputable Cardiology practice, is seeking a Medical Assistant. While certification is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. This is a Full-Time role offering a competitive wage of $21 per hour, with the potential for permanent employment following a probationary period.
Work Schedule:
Flexible hours with 8-hour shifts, including one late evening (7 PM) and one early morning shift (7 AM) required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and record manual blood pressure
- Gather medical histories from patients
- Communicate treatment procedures to patients
- Prepare patients for medical examinations
- Assist physicians during patient assessments
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples
- Conduct basic laboratory tests
- Experience with EKGs is a plus
- Medical Assistant certification is beneficial
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Skilled in using computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
