Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. As a Registered MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain a high level of technical proficiency in MRI procedures, including patient positioning, pulse sequence parameters, and magnet safety.
  • Assist with providing safe, age-appropriate care to patients by performing all exams provided by the department according to department procedures.
  • Responsible for performing a wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative in the utilization of equipment for the diagnosis and/or treatment of diseases.
  • Ensure that all studies have proper patient identification and that images are reviewed for clinically acceptable results.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of departmental employees and maintain a high level of customer service skills at all times.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited MRI program or ARRT-R certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in MRI technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function independently and under pressure while still actively participating in a team environment.
