The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory oversight, shipping logistics, and ensuring a safe working environment. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations and active participation in daily tasks. The supervisor will lead and guide warehouse personnel in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in all receiving operations and system functionalities, maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Manage inventory placement and identification, resolve discrepancies, and guarantee timely and precise inventory movement.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and promptly.
  • Supervise shipping processes and logistics to facilitate timely and accurate dispatches.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and management, maintaining professionalism in interactions with customers as necessary.
  • Direct and mentor warehouse staff, managing human resource functions such as hiring and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a safe and respectful workplace culture.

Supervisory Duties

  • Oversee all operational activities of warehouse staff.
  • Manage personnel and human resource functions for the team.
  • Accountable for staff performance and skill development.

Work Environment

  • This position operates within a warehouse setting, utilizing standard equipment such as forklifts and material handling tools.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands listed are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

  • Ability to bend, lift up to 65 lbs., climb ladders, and operate material handling equipment.
  • Work in varying temperature environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours

  • This is a full-time role, with standard hours from Monday to Friday.

Travel Requirements

  • Minimal travel may be necessary for this position.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or an associate degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in inventory management or distribution. Alternatively, a high school diploma or GED with 5 or more years of experience in a similar role.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or an associate degree with 5 or more years of experience in inventory management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory management or distribution is preferred.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
