Job Summary:
A highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist is required to join our team at Haywood Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intensive care unit (ICU) nursing and the ability to provide exceptional patient care.

About the Role:
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $85,000 per annum, plus benefits, including access to our 54,000 sq.ft Health and Fitness Center. As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient assessments, administering specialized treatments, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This dynamic environment requires teamwork, critical thinking, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the ICU setting.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage critical conditions, including respiratory failure, cardio/pulmonary disease, sepsis, and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).

Qualifications and Requirements:
A current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in North Carolina or from a Compact State is required. Additional certifications include AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA ACLS, and AHA PALS. One year of experience in an ICU setting is preferred.
