Job Title: Physical Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at VeeAR Projects. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing physical therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, prevent disability, reduce pain, and return them to their maximum function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Select and utilize appropriate therapeutic assessment tools, including observation, ROM, functional strength, and palpation, and document findings objectively and appropriately.
  • Develop individualized treatment programs consistent with patient diagnosis, status, and goals, and record treatment plans in flowsheets for assistive personnel before first follow-up visits.
  • Establish goals and plans of care that include realistic and measurable goals in relation to patient functional goals, diagnosis, prognosis, learning ability of the patient/caregiver, physical/mental status, and anticipated lifestyle.
  • Complete evaluations according to departmental policy.
  • Evaluate for needed equipment and follow-up, if indicated.
  • Complete plan of care and fax to MD, when required, before first follow-up visit.
  • Reassess patient progress and update goals as needed, and send physician updates to referring practitioners at least once every 10th visit or 30 days as required by Medicare.
  • Implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team and provide leadership and supervision to supportive/assistive staff and interns.
  • Adhere to department safety standards and complete incident reports as indicated.
  • Develop and progress treatment programs to achieve patient goals and document progression on flowsheets.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding evaluation results, treatment plans/goals, proper body mechanics, and home exercises, and complete patient-family education records.
  • Utilize updated treatment techniques and stay current with continuing education and peer review.
  • Be aware of and accommodate walk-ins throughout the day.
  • May include application of topical drugs according to State Practice Act and treatment of pelvic disorders.

Requirements:
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • One year outpatient experience, with consideration for new graduates.

Education and Certifications:
  • Degree in physical therapy from an approved APTA school.
  • Licensed to practice physical therapy.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
