Perioperative Services Leader

Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide administrative direction to nursing personnel, maintain operational aspects of the patient care unit, and collaborate with support services to achieve departmental goals.
- Strategic Planning: Work with administration, directors, and physicians to develop and implement strategies for business growth, physician recruitment, and advanced evidence-based practice standards.
- Quality Improvement: Ensure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in acceptable ranges and improving, and lead teams to improve core measures and Joint Commission initiatives.
- Team Development: Build and direct teams to achieve departmental objectives, provide coaching and mentoring to staff members, and serve as a role model for excellence in patient care.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure that the department is survey-ready at all times, including nursing documentation, facility, and National Patient Safety Goals.
- Experience: Five (5) years in perioperative services with demonstrated development and leadership abilities, and more than five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Education: Graduate of an approved/accredited School of Nursing or equivalent, BSN required, and Master's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Management/MBA completed or in process.
- Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California, Current Basic Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and PALS required for ED, Med/Surg, and Peri-Operative Directors.
- Skills: National Certification preferred, ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, and ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals.
