Veterinarian Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervising Veterinarian to join our team at the Animal Health Branch of the California Department of Food and Agriculture. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of veterinarians and supporting the development and implementation of animal health initiatives in the California animal agriculture community.

• Lead and manage a team of veterinarians to achieve program goals and objectives
• Develop and implement animal health initiatives to support the California animal agriculture community
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address animal health issues
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members
• Develop and manage budgets and resources to support program activities

• Current licensure as a veterinarian in the state of California
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in animal health or a related field
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
