Job Title: Medical Surgical RN

We are seeking a Medical Surgical RN for a travel nursing position in Peoria, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

Job Requirements:
  • Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
  • Educates patients on surgical procedures.
  • Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Requirements:
  • ACLS, BLS, 2 Years
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
