About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Caregiver Medication Assistant to join our team at New Perspective Senior Living. As a Medication Administration Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
  • Document medication administration and resident care in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Assist residents with self-administration of medications as needed
  • Count and manage narcotics in accordance with company policy
  • Participate in the life enrichment program to enhance the quality of life for our residents
  • Comply with company training requirements and policies
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members in a professional and respectful manner
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
  • Medication Assistant (MA) certification required
  • Previous experience as a Medication Passer or in a similar role
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Ability to make decisions and act in the best interest of the resident
