Position Overview

The House Supervisor will be responsible for the overall management of nursing services during their shift, working closely with the administrative team. This role involves making key administrative decisions, collaborating with Nursing Directors, and ensuring both patient and staff safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing staff and operations, conducting regular rounds to assess patient conditions and ensure quality care.
  • Facilitate hospital throughput by managing bed placements and coordinating patient transfers and discharges.
  • Oversee the orientation and training of new staff, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate and address employee, patient, and family concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain staffing levels to meet patient needs while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of nursing experience is preferred, with at least one year in a critical care environment.
  • Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is mandatory.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
