About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Amedisys, a leading provider of home health, hospice, and high-acuity care. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in helping patients and families navigate the complex healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in adults. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address these disorders.
  • Aural Rehabilitation: Provide aural rehabilitation services for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, including the implementation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Licensure and Certification: Current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology specific to the state you are assigned to work. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) with completed graduate coursework and a clinical practicum at a college or university whose program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
  • Education and Experience: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. One (1+) year of experience in speech pathology is preferred.
