Hamilton Health Care System is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory procedures in a timely and accurate manner according to established hospital policies and departmental procedures.
  • Function under the supervision of the medical laboratory director, manager, department supervisors or charge tech.
  • Multi-task and float to areas as needed to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
  • Provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Assure specimen collection, quality, and timely test resulting and pending resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless laboratory operations.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills and a caring attitude towards patients and visitors.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team with non-technical staff within the lab and outside customers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
