Yard Jockey

We are seeking a skilled Yard Jockey to join our team at US Foods. As a critical member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers to and from dock doors, following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

• Move trailers to and from dock doors based on instructions from supervisors or the shipping office
• Ensure cleanliness and adequate fueling of trailers
• Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments
• Load, unload or merge loads between environments
• Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers
• Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets
• Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse
• Work with mechanics nightly

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid driver's license issued by state of residence
• Minimum of six months Non-CDL commercial driving experience preferred
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to pass DOT physical
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language
