Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Conduct patient examinations, confirm medical histories, and document chart notes. Make initial assessments for necessary follow-up actions. Order required diagnostic tests and develop patient care plans while guiding patients on their health progress. Administer medications as directed by a physician.
  • Supportive Procedures: Carry out procedures including immunizations, injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
  • Additional Duties: Manage phone communications, take messages, and greet patients. Provide education on topics such as nutrition, family planning, emotional health, and overall wellness. Act as a support resource for physicians during emergencies or complex procedures. Exercise professional judgment when consulting with supervising physicians regarding treatment options. Familiarity with medication refills, front desk operations, and medical insurance processes is essential.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Prior clinical experience is mandatory.
