About Us

Southern Regional Medical Center is a non-profit, 331-bed full-service hospital serving the residents of Clayton County and southern crescent metro Atlanta communities.

The hospital offers a complete line of services, including Senior Care and Senior Behavioral Health Services; Emergency Services; Heart and Vascular; Advanced Imaging; Laboratory; Neuroscience Services; Rehabilitation; Sleep Diagnostic Center; Surgery/Robotic Surgery; Wound Care; and Women's Health Services, including a Level III NICU.

Responsibilities

The Supervisor of Radiology Services provides leadership, supervision, and coordinates department activities, ensuring safety to both patients and staff.

Directs all human resource functions of the department, including overseeing training and ensuring staff competencies, ensuring safe staffing levels.

Develops and manages budget to meet department, meets organizational and patient safety goals, and ensures regulatory compliance.

The Supervisor ensures ongoing monitoring of departmental indicators and PI activities, reports activities as directed.

The Supervisor responds to the needs of the department by performing radiology technologist duties when needed.

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree, Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology preferred.
  • Specialized training in any modality required.
  • Supervisory experience in all medical imaging functions.
  • Previous experience as a radiology technologist/Nuclear Medicine/Other modalities.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Current Basic Life Support /BCLS (AHA) certification.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.
