About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Therapist to work with students in an elementary school setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments, developing tailored therapy plans, and delivering direct therapy services focused on motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom setting.
  • Deliver direct therapy services to students, focusing on motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques.
  • Develop and lead training sessions for educators and parents on strategies to support students with various needs.
  • Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend related meetings.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • An active Maine OT License.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
  • Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required.

Estimated salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
