About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Heliux, you will be responsible for leading the development of mission-critical software products that power the global industrial ecosystem. You will collaborate closely with customers to identify critical challenges and work with internal team members to design, develop, test, and deploy innovative solutions.

About You

You are a seasoned engineer with a strong desire to own end-to-end product development on a small, agile team. You have experience shipping high-quality software products at an unprecedented pace, balancing reliability, scalability, and performance. You are a quick learner, capable of applying new concepts and technologies at an exceptional rate. You are a low-ego, high-output competitor who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in end-to-end hardware engineering and manufacturing operations by engaging with customers, touring industrial facilities, and more.
  • Develop high-quality software that consistently exceeds customer expectations, contributing to both frontend and backend code.
  • Partner with key team members across Design, Engineering, and Business Development to advise on critical product and infrastructure decisions.
  • Contribute to various challenges that arise from being a scrappy, early-stage startup (i.e., wear multiple hats).

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years designing and developing complex software products
  • Demonstrated proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build, test, and iterate code
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
