We are seeking a skilled Shop Equipment Specialist to join our team at REI. As a vital member of our retail store, you will play a key role in creating a better outdoor experience for our customers. Your expertise in assembling and maintaining REI equipment daily will be essential in ensuring our products meet industry standards.

In addition to executing shop services, you will provide exceptional customer service in the shop and on the sales floor. You will contribute to REI's success by servicing and repairing bikes and/or snow sports equipment to industry standards. Your initiative and productivity will help guide Retail Sales Specialists and Bike and Ski Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in REI Sales and Service Training to promote REI goods and services.

  • Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, secure, and safe work environment.

  • Produce quality work that meets and exceeds industry standards.

  • Train teammates to conduct shop service functions.

  • Mentor inexperienced staff.

  • Research and report significant quality and safety issues.
