We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Specialist to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
About the Role:
- Provide assistance, guidance, and support to individuals with daily living needs, including personal care, life skills, and community integration.
- Assist individuals in enjoying their desired lifestyle and increasing their quality of life by providing excellent services.
- Provide direct support, interaction, and supervision of individuals, inclusive of all daily needs, such as meals, transportation, leisure activities, and medical needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in developing life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and managing finances.
- Assist individuals in accessing community resources and participating in community activities.
- Provide transportation to and from appointments and activities.
- Assist individuals with medication administration and medical needs.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required (one year of college preferred).
- 1+ years of experience working with the population served.
- Acceptable criminal background.
- CPR/First Aid, Mandt Systems, and medication technician certification.
- No lifting restrictions.
