About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Wegmans Food Markets. As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our stores by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of the store's facilities and grounds to identify repair opportunities and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on store equipment, fixtures, and facilities, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with the store maintenance team and leadership to execute preventative maintenance programs and troubleshoot emergency issues.
- Assist with small in-house projects and tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous mechanical or related experience.
- Experience with mechanical/technical projects, including home improvements, remodeling, and general repair/handyman work.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge.
