Job Summary:

W.K. Upchurch Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to contribute to the success of various construction projects. As a Carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by reading plans, laying out activities, and constructing building structures with precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct building structures and install components on the construction site
• Install foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using various materials
• Fit and install window frames, doors, trim, and hardware
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for elevated structures
• Study specifications in blueprints and determine required materials and dimensions
• Shape and cut materials accurately
• Follow safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment
• Repair or replace damaged building sections
• Inspect and detect structural damage
• Assist in moving materials around the worksite
• Clean up debris to ensure a tidy work environment

Requirements:

• Ability to receive and follow instructions effectively

• Detail-oriented with a focus on safety measures
• High school diploma preferred
• Experience in commercial or residential carpentry is beneficial
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and building plans
• Knowledge of job site safety practices
