At Stars Behavioral Health Group, we are committed to providing high-quality care to adolescents in need. As an On Call Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in our team's efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an On Call Youth Counselor. In this role, you will provide supervision, protection, and care to adolescent clients individually and in groups. You will also promote and assist adolescents with self-help skills, including eating, hygiene, and grooming, as well as positive behaviors and social interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and care for adolescent clients individually and in groups
  • Promote and assist adolescents with self-help skills
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and care of children, including assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
  • Conduct or assist in large and small activity groups
  • Perform documentation that records adolescents' daily activities and behaviors
  • Attend and participate in shift rounds, change of shift meetings, and treatment team meetings as scheduled
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents preferred
  • Valid California Driver's License required
