Leaps Summer Associate Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Summer Associate Intern to join our Leaps Crop Science team. As part of our focused internship program, you will work alongside a team of high-performing MBAs, PhDs, and technologists who are passionate about leveraging breakthrough technologies to drive business growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify new business opportunities and trends in digital, biotech, chemistry, and agronomy.
  • Develop financial models and pro forma cap tables to evaluate investment opportunities and assess risks and operational implications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Climate Corp, R&D, supply chain, customer operation, and customer care to evaluate internal areas of disruption through external investment.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and contribute to the development of new business strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an MBA or graduate degree with emphasis in strategy, finance, agronomy, biology, or chemistry.
  • In-depth study or experience with biology, chemistry, agronomy, foodtech, and/or digital agriculture.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills and training.
  • Demonstrated ability to reduce complex concepts and put innovation ideas into practice.
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and presentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong ability to influence and motivate people through formal and informal channels.
  • Experience working in a financial investment institution (VC, private equity, etc).
  • 2+ years with a top-tier management consulting or financial services firm.
  • Knowledge and experience of intellectual property.
