About the Job

We are seeking a skilled scientific leader to join our team as a Biorepository Operations Manager. In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our biorepository, including sample collection, processing, storage, tracking, and distribution. You will also develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as biobanks and research institutions, for sample exchange and collaboration.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the biorepository, including sample collection, processing, storage, tracking, and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as biobanks and research institutions, for sample exchange and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure the quality, integrity, and traceability of biological specimens. Implement and maintain a robust quality control program with regular monitoring, audits, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordination of regulatory, legal, logistical, and ethical aspects of human specimen use. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as FDA, HIPAA, and other relevant guidelines, with attention toward data security.
  • PhD in a biological discipline with at least 8 years of relevant program management experience in an industry or academic setting. Further qualifications, including professional qualifications in management and operations, strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience managing national and international collaborative programs involving human specimens.
  • Proven experience in biorepository management in industry or academic setting.

The estimated salary for this position is $150,000 per year, based on industry standards and the level of expertise required. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
