Position Overview:

A prominent educational institution is in search of an Electrical Engineer to become a vital part of their Facilities Planning and Development team. This role entails delivering project management and engineering expertise across a diverse array of capital facility initiatives, encompassing both new constructions and renovations. Typical projects include interior and exterior lighting, building electrical service entries, distribution systems, and site electrical infrastructure.

This position requires collaboration with strategic leaders on campus master planning, evaluating various design alternatives, and preparing construction documents. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing multiple projects, excellent communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders and contractors, and a solid foundation in project construction along with electrical design, code compliance, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 25% Project Management for Evaluation and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM)
  • 35% Project Management or Engineering Support for Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction, Actuals, and Resolution
  • 15% Ensures the successful execution of electrical capital projects and physical enhancements
  • 15% Oversees the development and upkeep of the electrical engineering components of the campus master plan
  • 10% Aids in formulating and maintaining departmental policies

Compensation:

$100,000 to $140,000 per year

Compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, licensure, and education.
