Job Title: Medical Surgical RN Travel Assignment

We are seeking a Medical Surgical RN for a travel nursing job in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work 12 hour shifts, nights.

Job Description:
  • Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
  • Perform ongoing assessments and appropriate treatments as ordered by a physician.
  • Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients' families.

The Medical Surgical RN will be responsible for providing bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients. They will also prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.

Requirements:
  • BLS certification
  • 2 years of recent acute care experience

As a Medical Surgical Travel Nurse, you will work in a fast-paced environment treating patients that may be confused, agitated, and/or uncooperative. You will need to be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
