Job Summary

The RN Team Leader PCU is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and performing patient care delivery on assigned nursing units, meeting Standards of Nursing Care for assigned shifts. This role acts as a clinical resource and role model, participating in conducting performance appraisals for personnel on assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains safe practice by demonstrating unit-specific clinical competency and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrates safe medication administration and ensures effective handoff communications and documentation.
  • Integrates ethical decision-making into daily nursing practice, alleviating and reducing pain to acceptable levels for patients.
  • Acts as a patient advocate, demonstrating critical thinking skills and integrating population-specific standards when planning care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of Nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse/Nurse Practitioner in Florida or licensure from another state with verification of application and eligibility for Florida licensure by endorsement.
  • Minimum of three to five years experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Valid AHA Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements.

AdventHealth Medical Group is a specialty hospital for medically complex patients, with a Pulmonary and Vapotherm Center of Excellence. Our staff consists of all Registered Respiratory Therapist, 65% BSN or above RNs, with current staff certifications including CCRN, PCCN, CNML, WCNC, NEA-BC, and RN-BC. We offer an onsite BSN completion program partnership with South University, with staff discounted rates.
