Respiratory Care Specialist

As a Respiratory Therapist at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. Your primary responsibility will be to administer oxygen and other non-anesthetic gases to patients using various methods, including intermittent positive pressure. You will also administer aerosol medications, conduct pulmonary function tests, and perform arterial punctures and blood gas determinations. Additionally, you will instruct patients and others in the proper use of equipment and teach maintenance. Your duties will also include keeping records of treatments and patient charges.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer oxygen and other non-anesthetic gases to patients using various methods
• Administer aerosol medications
• Conduct pulmonary function tests
• Perform arterial punctures and blood gas determinations
• Instruct patients and others in the proper use of equipment
• Teach maintenance
• Keep records of treatments and patient charges
Requirements
• Licensed by the state of Arkansas
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy
• BLS certification
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
