Financial Data Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Financial Data Analyst to join our team at a Steel Service Center in the west suburbs of Chicago. As a key member of our administrative office, you will be responsible for managing inventory data, supporting accounts receivable, and working on various special projects under the direction of the Office Manager.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional office experience, with a proven track record of meticulous attention to detail and strong math and critical thinking skills. You will be responsible for preparing documents for data entry, checking source documents for accuracy, and providing general support to the office manager and accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compile documents for data entry
• Check source documents for accuracy prior to entry
• Provide general support to the office manager and accounting function

Required Skills:

• Develop high-level proficiency with our proprietary software over time
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software
• Strong aptitude with basic math, logic, and problem-solving
• Rigorous approach to double-checking work; superior attention to detail
• Able to establish priorities and meet deadlines across multiple projects while keeping supervisors apprised of progress
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of personal organization
