Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling components for custom material handling systems in a shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review job specifications and pull necessary parts for assembly.
  • Verify materials and set up the assembly process.
  • Assemble parts to blueprint specifications using hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools.
  • Inspect the final product and transport it to the shipping department.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe manner.
  • Operate a crane or hoist to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Work in a safe manner and wear PPE as required throughout the shift.
  • Work in other areas or departments as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Average math skills and simple oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English.
  • Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16th.
  • Background in assembly or installation and good mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
  • Work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies.
  • Consistently stand for an entire shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
  • Ability to work with others and be a team player.
