Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to deliver cutting-edge tax solutions, encompassing planning, research, compliance, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Oversee client relationships, serving as the primary contact for all client needs.
- Lead and ensure the successful execution of various engagements in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
- Represent clients effectively with tax authorities during federal or state audits, demonstrating strong written communication skills for resolving tax inquiries.
- Work closely with Partners, Managers, and team members on client management, professional growth, and business development initiatives.
- Manage team operations, ensuring chargeability and budget adherence.
- Take responsibility for outstanding accounts receivable and actively participate in the collections process.
- Enhance the technical and industry expertise of the team while mentoring their career advancement.
- Engage in practice development activities for the firm.
- Assist partners in preparing engagement budgets, client invoicing, and staff performance evaluations.
- Review team deliverables to ensure compliance with firm processes and quality standards.
- Identify and cultivate external business relationships through social, charitable, and professional organizations, becoming an active participant in these networks.
- Pursue professional growth through public speaking, seminars, and writing articles.
- Prepare proposals and presentations, confidently conveying complex topics.
- Act as a subject matter expert on intricate tax matters within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Master's degree in Taxation or LLM in Taxation is a plus.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in public accounting, focusing on corporate and individual tax compliance and consulting.
- Strong technical proficiency in tax preparation, compliance, agency correspondence, and tax research.
