Coastal Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with patients in a geriatric rehabilitation setting, promoting their well-being and empowering them to participate in daily activities.



About the Role

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support patient rehabilitation and recovery. Key responsibilities include:




  • Providing professional Occupational Therapy services to patients in a geriatric rehabilitation setting
  • Documenting services accurately and timely, maintaining high standards of record-keeping
  • Participating in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care
  • Working efficiently and effectively, utilizing facility resources responsibly to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Services, and setting-specific clinical and regulatory practices
  • Complying with all facility policies and procedures, upholding high standards of professionalism and integrity


Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:




  • A degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • At least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, preferably in a geriatric rehabilitation setting
  • A current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the facility's state
  • Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support
  • Reliable transportation, with flexibility to travel between facilities as needed
