Responsibilities- Pre-Treatment Preparation
- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
- Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, and assisting them into physical therapy apparel.
- Patient Care
- Provide information to patients by answering questions and requests.
- Help treat patients by applying ice or heat packs, assisting with exercises, and monitoring patient progress.
- Administrative Duties
- Record daily notes and maintain accurate patient records.
- Answer phones and greet patients with professionalism and care.
- Schedule new patients and collect necessary information for insurance verification.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock levels and anticipating needs.
- Confidentiality and Teamwork
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by keeping information secure.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, aides, and other staff members to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology or related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of prior experience in customer service and administration, preferably in a medical or physical therapy setting.
- Skills and Abilities
- Strong customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and problem-solve.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
The Physical Therapy Technician/Patient Care Coordinator will work in a fast-paced physical therapy environment, requiring prolonged standing, bending, and stretching. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
