About the Role

Clean Harbors is seeking a highly skilled Class B Driver to join our team as an Environmental Services Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive environmental services, including collection and disposal of hazardous materials, recycling, and on-site cleanup activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the number one priority is the health and safety of yourself and others by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Material Handling: Pick up, pack, and transport damaged and discarded goods, and recalled products.
  • Segregation and Loading: Load, pack, and segregate materials and waste products for safe transportation.
  • Customer Interaction: Interact with customers at each stop, providing excellent customer service.
  • Documentation: Prepare DOT shipping documents and use a laptop, printer, handheld, and iPhone to complete tasks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Conduct projects/jobs according to site-specific Federal, State, and local regulations and health and safety plans.
  • Project Execution: Execute jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations, including fortune 500 companies.
  • Quality Control: Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Required.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills are essential.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to use a laptop, handheld, printer, and iPhone are required.
  • CDL Class B: Eligible to obtain a CDL Class B with hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire, company-paid.
  • Physical Abilities: Perform physical functions per job requirements.
  • Certifications: Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position.
