Junior Reliability Engineer

Your Role and Responsibilities:
This position will deliver expert-level reliability and maintenance engineering services while driving continuous improvement initiatives at our facilities. You will identify, analyze, and implement solutions to enhance operational and maintenance practices, leading to increased efficiency.
1. Champion safety initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols. Report any unsafe conditions to management.
2. Engage in new installations or significant replacements, assisting in project cost estimation and scheduling.
3. Develop and systematize new preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) strategies for new equipment.
4. Support the implementation of training and maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
5. Contribute to the enhancement of operational and maintenance processes, focusing on long-term maintenance planning for critical equipment.
6. Explore opportunities for cost-effective station operations through improved maintenance policies and technologies.
7. Collaborate with plant management to evaluate and implement efficient operational procedures.
8. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for effective work planning and scheduling.
9. Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels.
10. Act as the primary reliability resource, evaluating maintenance practices and conducting root cause analyses.
11. Oversee major projects, ensuring contractor compliance with project specifications.
12. Proactively research solutions and process improvements independently, providing unbiased recommendations.
13. Conduct monthly reliability meetings to review maintenance reports and recommend strategies for optimal plant performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Level I: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field with two years of relevant experience.
Level II: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related engineering field, with a minimum of six years of relevant experience, including four years as a vibration analyst.
Skills:
Familiarity with the operation, maintenance, design, and construction of power generation facilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in computer applications and capable of working collaboratively as well as independently.
Licenses and Certifications:
Certified Level II, III, or IV vibration analyst. Certified Machinery Lubrication Analyst I or II. Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or equivalent.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to communicate effectively, stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The candidate must be able to climb and wear safety equipment as necessary.
