Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow to join our dynamic team at JEWELS Therapy Clinic. As a Clinical Fellow, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to gain valuable clinical experience while providing comprehensive speech therapy services to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals, ensuring effective communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Therapeutic Techniques: Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve communication and swallowing abilities in pediatric patients.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
  • Patient Education: Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy techniques and strategies to promote effective communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions, ensuring seamless communication among team members.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Eligibility: Eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CF) as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Licensure: Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
