Clinical Histotechnologist

As a Clinical Histotechnologist, you will be integral to the diagnostic process and treatment of various medical conditions by preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination.
Histotechnology involves the meticulous study of tissue microstructures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Graduation from an accredited Histotechnology program.
- Preferred experience of at least one year as a Histotechnologist in a clinical laboratory environment.
- Specific visual capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to discern important details in specimens.
- Ability to differentiate various shades and colors in specimens and reactions is essential.
- Licensure as a Histotechnologist in the state of Florida is mandatory.
- Certification by a recognized national agency (ASCP) is preferred.
- Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology.
- Licensure/Certification: AABB certification is required along with licensure in all five laboratory areas.
