Job Overview

Cesna is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will be responsible for purchasing items, materials, or services of a technical nature, customized to company specifications and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase and expedite for timely delivery of material parts and services as required.
  • Vendor selection may include visiting vendor facilities.
  • Confer with other departments as needed for technical assistance in resolving purchasing issues.
  • Evaluate invoice charges as required.
  • Coordinate purchasing related activities involving routing, shipping, and receiving of parts and materials.
  • Maintain appropriate records, including encumbrance and company-owned tooling stored or used by vendors.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business or equivalent education is required.
  • Proficient/Advanced skills with MS Excel and ERP (SAP) are necessary.
  • 13 years' experience as a buyer for a manufacturing company is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting is essential.
  • Understanding of SOX requirements and internal controls is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet reporting deadlines are necessary.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work independently is essential.
  • Strict work ethic and strong leadership skills are required.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required for effective communication with customers.
