Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Foreman to join our team at Vets Hired. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of carpentry projects within our state hospitals.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize carpentry projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Supervise a small team of carpenters, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Perform individual tasks related to the job-site requirements, including purchasing materials and maintaining quality control.
  • Interact with clients, understanding their needs and expectations to deliver exceptional results.
  • Coordinate and schedule other trades as required, ensuring seamless project execution.
Qualifications
  • Considerable knowledge of rough and finish carpentry, building techniques, and construction methods.
  • Understanding of Infection Control Risk Assessment procedures to ensure safe on-site work practices.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 30-hour and ICRA certification is required, with assistance provided for acquiring required certification(s).
  • Willingness to travel within CT and ability to pass a background screen and drug test.
  • Able to receive an annual flu shot and maintain a high level of physical fitness.
