POSITION SUMMARY:

The Department of the Army, through The Army University, seeks to enhance classroom technology and sustainment for over 300 Army classrooms. This initiative involves providing comprehensive audiovisual and IT service solutions, ensuring that all necessary equipment and software are included. Additionally, classroom enhancements may be necessary prior to the installation of new technology to ensure a complete solution.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Army's Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Enterprise Classroom Program.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct the design, development, and execution of intricate classroom technology systems.
  • Perform system analysis and optimization to enhance performance and dependability.
  • Engage with stakeholders to outline system requirements and specifications.
  • Supervise system integration, testing, and validation processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 6 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years focused on the analysis and design of audiovisual hardware solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in developing audiovisual and networking designs tailored for classroom training.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with Government documentation standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating audiovisual and networking designs for educational environments.
  • Experience in drafting and preparing documents supporting electrical designs and implementations.
  • Ability to develop hardware and software interfaces to facilitate classroom infrastructures, engineering, and power schematics.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • AVIXA certification is advantageous.
