Job Title: Freight Broker

Are you a sales professional looking for a new challenge in the transportation industry? We are seeking a motivated Freight Broker to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

About the Role:

As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new customers, growing existing accounts, and collaborating with our team to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction. You will also be expected to meet and exceed sales targets, secure new customers, and participate in weekly meetings with managers to review performance and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify and secure new customers, and help grow existing accounts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the office's account representative and manager to ensure seamless operations and client satisfaction.
  • Sales Performance: Meet and exceed sales targets, with satisfactory CRM activity and proper onboarding of all customers.
  • Client Engagement: Secure 3 new customers, divisions, or shipping locations per quarter. Conduct quarterly reviews and assist with payment issues if necessary.
  • Travel: Visit existing or potential customers as required.
  • Meetings: Participate in weekly meetings with managers to review performance and strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
  • Strong hunter mentality with a focus on finding and closing new business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently.
  • High scores on the Sales Drive Assessment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
