About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder Technician to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating TIG weld equipment in manual and automatic configurations for welding case parts and material for the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set-up and operate TIG welding machines
  • Prepare parts for welding
  • Weld parts to specifications as outlined in work instructions
  • Inspect parts before and after welding
  • Complete required paperwork associated with work and work instructions
  • Maintain internal weld certifications
  • Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions
  • Ability to pass standard weld certifications (internal)
  • US Citizenship due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical trade school / certifications
  • Experience with TIG welding and bench mechanic operation
  • Related experience in aerospace industry

Additional Information
  • This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines.
  • Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
