Position Overview:
Fairview Health Services is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to support our Medical Oncology and Infusion Departments. This role encompasses responsibilities as both an Oncology Care Coordinator and an Infusion Registered Nurse.
Role Responsibilities:
The Oncology Care Coordinator will demonstrate advanced expertise in evaluating, planning, and facilitating care for patients facing complex health challenges. This includes:
- Coordinating comprehensive patient care to address diverse service needs.
- Ensuring seamless continuity of services and reducing care fragmentation.
- Enhancing patient quality of life while maintaining cost-effective care.
- Supporting patients and families in managing health conditions and promoting self-care.
In addition, the Infusion Registered Nurse will provide both direct and indirect nursing care, which includes:
- Administering chemotherapy and other infusion therapies safely.
- Managing various venous access devices and performing necessary patient-specific tasks.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role requiring 72-80 hours over a two-week period, with 8-hour shifts during the day and evening, including weekends as necessary.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of one year of RN experience.
- A degree from an accredited nursing program.
- A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a commitment to obtain one within two years.
- Current Minnesota RN Licensure.
- Certification in ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy or the ability to obtain it within six months.
- Current BLS certification or willingness to complete BLS training within three months.
Preferred qualifications include prior experience in case coordination and clinical experience in an oncology setting.
