HVAC Mechanic Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our team at Penn State Health. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upgrades of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including air-handling equipment, exhaust fans, variable-air-volume systems, furnaces, crematories, humidifiers, and air filtration equipment.
  • Operate and maintain control systems for HVAC equipment, including digital and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operation of facilities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • HVAC training required.
  • Three (3) years of job-related experience in residential or industrial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical trades required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Operation of tractors, forklifts, bucket trucks, high lifts, and other types of equipment preferred.
  • Universal Refrigeration License and EPA certification preferred.
  • CPR certification and First Aid training preferred.
  • Industrial HVAC, Plumbing, and Refrigeration experience preferred.
