Job Summary

Six Flags Over Texas is seeking a skilled Ride Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Ride Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing daily mechanical inspections and repairs to ride structures and units, maintaining and troubleshooting amusement rides and park equipment, and maintaining records for maintenance and inspections performed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Daily Mechanical Inspections and Repairs: Conduct thorough inspections of ride structures and units to identify and address any issues or defects.
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot Amusement Rides and Park Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on amusement rides and park equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Maintain Records and Reports: Accurately maintain records of maintenance and inspections performed, including any repairs or issues identified.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as operations and safety, to ensure that all ride maintenance and inspections are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure Safety and Compliance: Maintain compliance with all safety rules, procedures, and regulations, and ensure that all ride maintenance and inspections are performed in a safe and responsible manner.
Requirements
  • Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills and Experience: Must have a varied skill set, including knowledge of general maintenance, welding, and machine shop repair, as well as experience in industrial or heavy equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50lbs, and climb and work at heights over 50 feet.
  • Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be willing to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as scheduled.
