About the Position: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Wildland Fire Protection Corps (CWPC) program as a Crew Member. As a member of this innovative service program, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on training and experience in wildfire fuels reduction work skills.

Key Responsibilities: Crew members will be part of a crew with up to 5 members, led by one CWPC Crew Leader. They will work closely with program staff and other participants, paying specific attention to safe workplace practices, proper tool use, work quality, and efficiency.

Work Environment: Crew members will work in austere outdoor environments, including weather conditions such as rain, wind, snow, wet, cold, dry, and hot temperatures. They must be comfortable working in these conditions and able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently.

Salary and Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $30,300 - $35,100 per year, depending on location and experience. This includes a living stipend of $775 per week, paid monthly, and a 300-hour AmeriCorps term earning $1,565 education award at the end of a successfully completed session.
