Distinguished Messaging Architect

About the Role:

• This role will involve designing and implementing scalable and secure messaging systems that can handle high volumes of messages efficiently.
• You will drive integration of messaging platforms with other systems and applications, ensuring compatibility and functionality across different devices and operating systems.
• As a Distinguished Messaging Architect, you will be responsible for monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks or issues, and implementing solutions to enhance reliability and speed.
• Security will be a top priority, and you will ensure that messaging systems are secure from external threats, implementing encryption and adhering to data protection regulations.
• You will also provide expert guidance and resolve complex problems as a technical point of contact for any messaging-related issues.
• A key aspect of this role will be researching and implementing new messaging technologies and features to improve user engagement and satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture or data architecture
• At least 5 years of experience in web technologies (Javascript, TypeScript and SPA frameworks)
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture
• 10+ years of hands-on experience coding in commonly used languages like Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, etc.
• 10+ years of professional experience in the full lifecycle of system development, from conception through architecture, implementation, testing, deployment and production support
• 3+ years of experience with public or private cloud technologies, API development, streaming
• 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience in a senior engineering leadership role, with a strong focus on marketing technology and messaging platforms
• Deep understanding of marketing strategies, digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and data analytics
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead teams towards achieving shared goals
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of successful cross-functional partnership

The estimated salary for this role is $274,800 - $313,600 per year in New York City. This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
