Data Analyst Specialist Job Description

Ranger College is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst Specialist to join our team. As a Data Analyst Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing leading-edge analytics systems to maximize offerings and deliver data-driven service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets.
  • Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources.
  • Work closely with Perkins leadership to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders or yourself, with an eye on what drives grant performance, and investigate and communicate which areas need improvement in efficiency and/or productivity.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related area.
  • One or more years of experience working with data or a related field.
  • Proven analytical skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
  • Strong database and Excel skills, with an aptitude for learning analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong programming experience with frameworks, including XML, JavaScript, and ETL.
  • Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages.
  • Knowledge in mining, analyzing, and providing data for grant deliverables and performance.
