Data Science Internship Overview

Citizens is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Science Graduate Intern to join our team for a 10-week summer internship program. As a Data Science Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, collaborate with experienced Data & Analytics colleagues, and gain hands-on experience in data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform statistical analysis to validate data models and ensure their accuracy
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Work with business stakeholders to review data sources, data inconsistencies, and business logic for initiating data discovery
  • Implement data formulation process, including identification of attributes, exploratory data analysis, data transformation, and temporal data structures
  • Present findings and recommendations to colleagues and business leaders
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, or other data & analytic-related degree
  • Expected graduation date between December 2025 and Spring 2026 for master's students or concurrently enrolled in a PhD program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Experience working with raw as well as prepared datasets
  • Proficiency with statistical or machine learning programming languages / tools: SQL, Python, Pandas, Cloud Computing
